"Tyger Tyger burning bright").
Did I tell you that I lost 10 lbs? I did and suddenly I can fit into my pre-baby clothes of 6 yrs. ago. Now, I don't fit into them exactly the same way I did before--giving birth changes your body in some ways forever. I'll never have those skinny hips again, but then who wants to look like an 18 yr old? I can't say much more than that b/c I am often mistaken for a 20-something. A blessing I humbly accept. Now, if someone told me I acted like a 20-something, that would be different...not to insult 20-somethings...it's just that...oh, you'll understand when your 30.
Anyway, so I lost 10 lbs and you know what I did? Just in case you're looking to make a few habit changes for the better. First, we went from eating out 3 times a week to about once every 2 weeks. Second, I went from drinking 3-4 12-oz.Dr. Peppers a day to only 1 6-oz can. I guess when you cut 500 calories out of your daily diet, you gotta lose some weight.
Saturday and yesterday I had the most fun. I spent most of the day building up my stash of painted fabrics & papers to make some new fabric journals.
And that's not even including the stacks of tissue paper and paper towels.
This is my favorite, favorite thing to do. I wish I had a week to just make fabric pieces. Next these will be cut, torn, stamped, doodled on, stitched on and whatever else I think they need to be perfect journal backgrounds or starting points. Hopefully, I'll have some finished books in a few days.

Your papaers and fabrics are gorgeous!! You use those colors so well. :) It makes me want to spend a day doing the same. Ahhhhhh! Congrats on the 10 pounds!! I lost 10 as well (ive got more to go, though). My body is really mean and doing what you did wouldn't work for me. I am glad it did for you!!

Congrats on the weight loss! I am attempting to do the same thing myself. I have stopped drinking coke but I still eat out. That should stop too. One step at a time.

I just discovered your blog and I enjoy it so much! It's really interesting to see part of the process for your journals. Congrats on the weight loss, that's always a nice surprise. My son (I have two children) asked why is my tummy "so FAAAAT?"--in the grocery store no less. I responded with--"because I two GIANT babies! You and your sister!" Somebody overheard me and laughed. But it's true. My kids were so large when they were born and I am particularly small that now I am saggy-baggy there. Oh well! I never wanted to wear bikinis anyway!

I love your new painted fabrics and papers. There is nothing better than just sitting there and being with a paint brush in one hand and a stamp in the other. I can't wait to see them in play.

Your fabrics are soooo beautiful, with such wonderful colour choices. Well done! Also with cutting down on the soda, which I do every now and again myself and poof - there go at least three to five pounds right away. I never learn. Next thing I know, I'm drinking four Pepps a day again!
