April 27, 2007

drama exitedly & works in progress

Today we skipped "school" but colored together and wrote stories. The following was written by Maisey Cooper (age 4), as dictated to Momma, April 27, 2007:

Maiseystory1

One day me, Daddy, Soren, Phoenix, Danae, and Hannah were playing ring-around-the-rosie and we had pizza.

Maiseystory2

We walked down the road and saw a dragon! It was so scary!

Maiseystory3_4

And then we saw a dangerous jellyfish! And all of us ran!

Maiseystory4

Then we saw a dinosaur! And we ran and ran and ran and ran!

Maiseystory5

Then we ran and ran to a far away place--to the jungle. And while we were running, I found a drink of water and everyone took a sip.

Maiseystory6

And then we ran and ran all the way back home and we took one sip of water and were ready for bed. The End.

So very sweet, the words of a child are absolutely precious and quite the budding artist, too!! Treasure this time, it will be gone in a blink of an eye ~ Take care, Dawn :)

That's art! I envy children for being natural artists. I like your blog, there are so many interesting things to see. The bags are supercute.

What a budding writer you have!

Dictation is underrated and underused. I LOVE that you are letting your kiddos invent these beautiful stories!

THINK

  • I do not know what I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a pretier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me. --Isaac Newton
