big news
My kids...are on the cover of Legacy magazine! I am so thrilled, I can't believe it. It was exciting enough to have my first article come out in the Aug./Sept. issue and then they used my ATCs on the cover. Check it out here. Wow. Somebody pinch me. It is funny because I wrote the article and made the trading cards ages ago, but with the publication deadlines, etc. it is just now coming out. Here is a peek at the article:
The kids weren't nearly as excited as I was. (I actually screamed when I opened the packaging and saw my pictures.) I'm afraid they've been a bit spoiled. They must think all kids get their pictures in magazines or else they think they are just super cute. (Okay, they are, but mom gets some credit, right?) These are some of my favorite ATCs ever. I LOVE these pictures of the kids. They so capture their personalities. And don't tell, but it looks like I have another article on collage coming out in a future issue. Shhhhh.... ;-)
Now how cool is that!! You should be very proud of yourself. What a great thing to have happen. Your work is very creative and I enjoy seeing it. I'll be sure to look for the magazine.

Yah again!!! Is the article on ATCs in general or using your own kids on ATCs? how fun!!! Waaaaaaaay back in 2000 I was asked to do one of the three scrapbook pages that would be considered for the cover of Creating Keepsakes. I did the page and submitted it and didn't find out who actually made the cover until I got my mag in the mail. I screamed too. :) hee I also kept the cover!
My curiosity is piqued about your second article!! go you!!
