art therapy

Sues_book_sm

My page in Sue's journal for our Alphabetica round robin. A simple cut-and-paste job, but oh so therapeutic and fun. I don't think I will ever get tired of playing with paper. Such simple bliss. Plus, I was able to finally use some of the vintage children's books I've been hoarding for myself. Aren't those old illustrations the best??

Oh what fun! I wish I had my favourite old books to play with :)

I knew there was a reason why I've saved all those old children's books! I love your page. It's so colorful and playful.

i'm glad to know i'm not the only one cutting up old childrens books...i agree!! the illustrations are so wonderful!!

Debra, this is so lovely. However, I don't know if it' fair that you are really raising the bar for the next person who has to work in that book... ;-) Can hardly wait to see it in person!

This is wonderful. And, yes, I know what you mean about vintage children's books' illustrations. They are fun to use in all kinds of ways. Love the piece! Jennifer

THINK

  • I do not know what I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a pretier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me. --Isaac Newton
