Comfort.

Fabric_basket

Lately, this brings me great comfort and joy! I have only recently begun collecting fabric for my fabric projects but it is quickly becoming one of my new favorite things. I love digging through bins of fabric remnants and frequenting the few thrift stores in town for new pieces. Maisey loves to play with them too and turns piles of fabrics into pillows and blankets for herself and her dollies. These  are my new favorites from a quilt shop in town:

Aren't they wonderful!!! My favorites are the teacup, pink, and red/blue/yellow plaid (is that what you call it?). Just gazing at these beauties is fun, but so is planning projects...and I'll have some new pictures up soon inspired by some of the amazingly talented ladies in blogland. Find out what brings comfort to other artists here.

What fun fabrics! I wish I was more creative with fabric than I am...

Eeeeeee! These are brilliant! I don't do much sewing but I am so tempted to go to a fabric shop and buy a bunch of assorted squares just to put them on a shelf or in a basket...and just gaze at them! LOVE it! Have you been to www.rosielittlethings.typepad.com? So comforting! :-)

I love the patterns and colors! Ah, what a wonderful bin of comfort!

Paper or fabric-why make a choice? Use both every chance you get-now that's a comforting thought!

oh, yeah! these are gorgeous.

Fabric is one of my passions (obsessions?). So much fun to take it out, look at it, touch it......you've got a great collection here!

THINK

  • I do not know what I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a pretier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me. --Isaac Newton
